Star Trek: Earth II-Chapter 12On their way up to the bridge the lift stopped twice, picking up Bek and Soraan. The lift continued for another few seconds and came smoothly to a halt at the bridge. The lift doors part exposing the busyness of the bridge at full combat alert status. The four officers stepped out of the lift quickly and took over their stations, relieving those sitting in their place. “Report!” Kate exclaimed as she took her seat on the bridge, checking the read outs on the display panel on the armrest. “We still can’t indentify them ma’am. He unlike many of the ship commanders hadn’t signed up for this assignment, the council had decided to send a second Admiral, one with lots of combat experience in the event the leading Admiral died or was captured. He did find this assignment a little thrilling, though no one would ever know that He was going to enter into Pon Var within the next seven months and doubted he would be able to return to Vulcan in time to be with his wife by then.
